Goat's milk is consumed more world-wide than cow's milk and is an easy to digest dairy option. Our does are blood-tested disease free of CAE, CL, Johnes and Q-fever. We utilize industry standard disposable udder sanitazion wipes. Our does are hand milked, therefore there is no equipment to keep clean. Heat sanitized glass jars are used to collect milk before it is finely filtered into other heat sanitized glass jars. Milking lessons are included and welcomed for herd share owners.
Contract & Pricing
Herd shares require a $20 deposit to hold your percentage of the herd. Glass jars and lids are included with your share. Herd shares are non-transferable. With a 30-day notice you can relinquish your share back to Flaxen Horse and your $20 deposit will be refunded once your jars and lids are returned. The 30 day notice allows us time to find a new share holder to take your place. Monthly boarding fees approximate the amount of milk you will receive weekly on your pick up day.
